Wear shoes: And shoes that can get wet, like water shoes. The boat launch can be rocky and while you can definitely go barefoot, shoes protect your feet.
Bring a change of clothes & a towel: While no one PLANS to sink, be ready for a swim. Even boats that make it across the finish line in tact get a little soggy! The legion has bathrooms to change in.
Keep your electronics & any jewelry on shore!
Bring life jackets & your favorite paddle: We will have a number of different size jackets and paddles if you don’t have them. I’d also suggest labeling any equipment that you bring with you.
